ABOUT

Collective Brownout is a group of multifaceted artists that come together to support each other in different artistic projects and explore a shared language for co- creating performances.

Lío Spinnewijn is a fine artist who focuses on the relationship instead of the divide between culture and nature. Within the collective they focus on the visual and conceptual cohesiveness of the created performances.

Sophia Bardoutsou is a composer exploring composition as a social rather than individual practice. Within the collective her focus is on collecting and organising sounds as they emerge from the environment of the rehearsal and process of creation.

Laurens Voois is a sound artist and multi-instrumentalist who concentrates on establishing connection between a performance and its audience. As part of the collective, he explores creative approaches to address performance concerns and find meaningful solutions.

Clio Panagiotopoulou is a cellist exploring composition-performance through the experience of the instrumentalist rather than the traditional composition process. Within the collective she is innovating, improvising and interpreting with her instrument while often creating a soundscape environment for the performance.

Aisha Hetzel is a circus artist specialising in aerial rope, with her artistic work

being very movement based and with a strong connection to music. Aisha thrives teamwork, finding joy in collaborative spaces where she can explore dynamic movement and abstract imagery. Within the collective, she focuses on shaping the movement aspects of our artist concepts and performances.

Real End is a carpenter who thinks outside the box. Through experience, he knows how to translate dreams and ideas into material and visual decor and props in a playful manner. This helps to bring the performance within reach of the audience,

also through his help behind the scenes.

Lea Hegemann is a dramaturg interested in how performance and creation processes can foster new kinds of relations among humans, non-humans, and the entanglements they find themselves in. She supports Collective Brownout with conceptual thinking, critical questions and structuring of processes and performances.
